Throughout the year I create huge playlists that feature tracks from any notable releases that catch my ear. Near the end of the year, I turn those overwhelming playlists into a "Short List" representing some of my favourite records released that year. Last year, leading up to my 2019 list, I ported them all to Substack so you can access not only the playlists but the write-ups as well.
Note: it is entirely possible there are albums on some of the older lists by artists that I would no longer support - I know there was a Pinegrove album on one that I went and removed after all of that went down. If I've missed anything or included any artists that it has since come out are completely shitty people, let me know so I can remove them please.
